BHU Junior Clerk Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online, Vacancies
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has invited online applications for the BHU Junior Clerk Recruitment 2025 (Group ‘C’) post under Advertisement No. 07/2024-2025. This recruitment is part of the university’s non-teaching recruitment drive. All eligible Indian citizens can apply through BHU’s official recruitment portal www.bhu.ac.in/rac. Candidates must also send a hard copy of the application form to the Registrar’s office after online submission.

- Pay Matrix Level: Level-2
- Basic Pay: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (as per 7th CPC)

Eligibility Criteria for BHU Junior Clerk Recruitment 2025
Candidates must satisfy the following educational, skill, and age requirements to apply:
Educational Qualification:
- Second Class Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- AND
- At least 6 months of training in Computer Office Automation, Bookkeeping, and Word Processing from a certified institution
- OR a Diploma in Computer Applications recognized by AICTE
Typing Skill Requirement:
- English Typing: Minimum 30 words per minute
- OR
- Hindi Typing: Minimum 25 words per minute
This Computer Typing Test is qualifying in nature and must be passed to proceed further in the selection process.
BHU Junior Clerk Selection Process 2025
The selection procedure for BHU Junior Clerk consists of the following steps:
- Written Examination
- Computer Proficiency Test
- Tools tested: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), formatting tables, graphs, page layout, hyperlinks, etc.
- Typing Skill Test
- Document Verification
Note: Only candidates shortlisted based on written exam performance will be called for skill tests.
Weightage for BHU Daily Wagers/Contractual Staff
BHU offers up to 20% additional marks for internal daily wage/contractual staff:
- 4% weightage per year of service (minimum 240 working days/year)
- Applicable for: Written test, skill test, and demonstration
- Must meet regular eligibility criteria
